Danica Patrick Wins!

Danica Patrick got her first win in Indy Cars and has become the first woman to do so in a major motorsports open wheel racing series. I wrote about women in F1 back on day 29 of the Countdown.

You’re making the same mistake the vast majority of media outlets are making.
A woman won major drag racing events on the 70′s and 80′s, in fact was world champion in drag racing’s top class, and continue to win now in the NHRA.
We’re talking about actually driving cars. Drag racing is more like tractor pull.
Even if she is not the first one (see archive of 70′s and 80′s), she did open again racing to women.
Good job girl and good luck to the next one
Actually I have to be honest. I didn’t know women were winning in NHRA.
Is good to have mix of genders at this sport too
I don’t follow Indy Cars, but know the names of a few drivers and am glad to hear that Danica has won her first race!
I wonder if she’ll ever move to F1…
